NOW Foods, Bloomingdale, IL, was honored by Vitamin Angels at its 20 Year Celebration on Thursday, March 6, at the VIP Diamond Club at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, CA. NOW was one of two companies recognized as a “Founding Supporter” for having supported Vitamin Angels for the past twenty years. Held in conjunction with the opening of the Natural Products Expo West, the event drew 700 members of the natural products industry.
 
“In the beginning, contributions from NOW Foods were literally the lifeline that kept Vitamin Angels’ doors open,” said president and founder of Vitamin Angels, Howard Schiffer. “Today our doors are wide open and we’re reaching more children than ever before. NOW Foods has been there for us through it all, and we’re proud to call them our Founding Supporters.”
 
In the last 20 years, NOW’s contributions have made it possible for Vitamin Angels to reach over 2.3 million children in 50 countries, including the U.S., with lifesaving and life changing vitamins. On NOW’s 40^th anniversary in 2008 the company pledged to donate 40 million capsules of vitamin A over a 10-year period. As of 2013 NOW was well ahead of plan with more than 32 million doses donated.
